October 2026AI

Getting started as an AI tutor

It all started with the kick-off in Bamberg, alongside AI tutors from all over Bavaria. I've since completed the foundation course, and now I'm spending two semesters working with faculty at Hochschule Kempten to put ideas into practice.

Learning: AI has the biggest impact where it sharpens critical thinking instead of replacing it.

Strategy in three hours

At the AI PopUp of IHK München (Munich Chamber of Commerce), I spent Marc Sund's workshop “Strategy Development with AI” working on my own business: location, target customer, market and strategy, all on one page.

Learning: With AI as a sparring partner, tried-and-tested methods get faster. The decisions are still mine.

Visiting MULTIVAC

A field trip with my controlling specialization. One question from the visit wouldn't let go of me, so I turned it into a paper of my own on the product strategies of MULTIVAC and RATIONAL.

Learning: The best questions come from being there in person.

July 2026Networking

An evening at RATIONAL with the Wirtschaftsjunioren

With the Wirtschaftsjunioren Landsberg (our local Junior Chamber International chapter), we visited the global market leader right on our doorstep: a factory tour, an open conversation with management and, to wrap it up, Cooking Live with the latest appliances.

Learning: The best way to understand a company is to experience its product yourself.

Graduating from the Schwaben Innovation Masterclass

Two semesters, four universities, 24 students. We wrapped up with certificates, pitches and a long evening of good conversations.

Learning: Interdisciplinary teams are harder work, but they get better results.

Philosophy in the Arab and Islamic world

Three days at the Akademie für Politische Bildung (Academy for Political Education) in Tutzing, about as far from business studies as it gets. That's exactly why I keep going back.

Learning: Knowing other traditions of thought helps you understand your own better.

Design Thinking at HNU

The final block of the Schwaben Innovation Masterclass, at HNU (Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences): a week of Design Thinking with Prof. Dr. Daniel Schallmo, tackling real challenges from partner organizations. Our team, the Wohnraumschaffer (“housing makers”), worked on a challenge from the City of Ulm: how can housing that becomes vacant be made livable again faster? We interviewed people looking for a place to live, talked to the city and Caritas, built prototypes and pitched to the jury. Right in the middle of it all came the IHK Schwaben event “Dein Shortcut ins Unternehmertum” (Your shortcut into entrepreneurship) on business succession, the topic closest to my heart at Lech-Impuls. Squeezed in between: a city tour, a barista class and riding a mechanical bull.

Learning: If you don't know what people need, you end up solving the wrong problem.

Masterclass block three: Bergamo

The third block, organized by the University of Augsburg, took us to Italy: seminars at the Università degli Studi di Bergamo, a visit to the Kilometro Rosso innovation park and, in between, plenty of time for conversations, good food and the Città Alta.

Learning: Innovation looks a little different in every country. Looking across borders sharpens your own perspective.

Social impact in Kempten

Block two of the Schwaben Innovation Masterclass, held at my own university. With my team, Cervaro, I developed a concept for intergenerational living in Ulm: multigenerational shared apartments, educational programs and an open social hub under one roof, planned as a nonprofit (gGmbH) that owns its building. Our motto: Open House. Open Minds. In the evening, we headed to the Kempten Christmas market.

Learning: An idea only lands once you can explain it in three minutes.

Deutschlandstipendium scholar

Award ceremony for the Deutschlandstipendium (national merit scholarship) at Hochschule Kempten: 60 scholarships, 82 stories. Thank you to my sponsor, Endress+Hauser.

Learning: A scholarship is more than money. The trust behind it gave me the courage to start my own business.

Democratic Asia

Two days in Tutzing on South Korea and the Pacific region. Barely a topic in my studies, but one that stayed with me for a long time.

Learning: Civic education helps me make sense of developments that affect business, too.

Member of the Tutzing Academy's supporters' circle

After my first conference in Tutzing, I knew I wanted to be part of this. Since 2024, I've been a member of the Förderkreis (supporters' circle) of the Akademie für Politische Bildung, backing the work I get so much out of myself.

Learning: Civic education thrives on people who stand behind it.

P-Seminar “Schule ohne Rassismus praktisch”

My P-Seminar (a project seminar in the last years of high school) on intercultural communication at Welfen-Gymnasium Schongau: Nonviolent Communication exercises, a peace prayer at school, contact with a neighborhood initiative, the study trip to Sarajevo and an evening of talks about Bosnia. Graded 30 out of 30 points.

Learning: You don't learn intercultural communication from books. You learn it by talking to people.

Rivalries in the Mediterranean

My first conference at the Akademie für Politische Bildung in Tutzing, back when I was still in high school: two days on conflicting interests, influence and natural resources around the Mediterranean, in cooperation with TU Kaiserslautern. I've kept coming back ever since.

Learning: If you want to understand conflicts, follow the interests, not just the headlines.

Digital Insights Lounge

Through MINT-EC (a network of STEM-focused schools), I took part in the Digital Insights Lounge by Microsoft Germany, SAP and Siemens, in 2021 and again at the alumni event in November 2022. A look at digital careers and at where things could go after the Abitur (German high school diploma).

Learning: Digitalization isn't just a tech topic. It matters for every profession.

Study week in Sarajevo

An interfaith study trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina while I was still in school: Christian and Muslim participants, a day at the mosque in Penzberg to prepare, and a stay at the Franciscan monastery. In Sarajevo, we met with religious communities and institutions, and took in plenty of city, history and Bosnian coffee. Back home, I spoke about the trip at a public information evening.

Learning: Understanding starts with listening, especially where history still hurts.

A semester at LMU before finishing high school

Through the “Unitag” program for gifted students, I got to attend lectures at LMU Munich for a semester while still in school.

Learning: This is where I realized how much fun it is to think beyond my own field.

School exchange in Paris

Through the Brigitte-Sauzay-Programm (a French-German student exchange), I went to Paris as an exchange student and attended Seconde (10th grade) classes at Lycée Maurice Ravel. I organized it all myself: right in the middle of everyday Parisian school life, with French from morning to night.

Learning: Jumping into the deep end is the fastest way to learn to swim.
